Afterwards, we will drive you for 45 minutes to Sorrento, for a good Pizza break and gelato. Sorrento is a very beautiful town on the bay of Naples, overlooking the city of Naples itself, and its fame is due to the breathtaking views, the lemons, and the limoncello liquor, by now largely appreciated all over the world, its picturesque historic center full of shops and artisan workshops, especially wood inlay workshops.

Finally, we will drive you to the famous Pompeii, to explore the still amazing remains of the ancient Roman town buried, within a layer of 20/30 feet of ashes and stones, by the powerful eruption of the volcano Vesuvius. The catastrophic event took place in October 79 A.D. under the reign of Roman Emperor Titus, after which the town was abandoned!
Pompeii was rediscovered by chance in 1748 by the Spanish architect Alcubierre, during the excavations promoted by Charles III of Bourbon.
