The Experience
This private shore excursion of the 8 best wonders of Rome is the most appreciated experience of cruise passengers who dock at Civitavecchia port and have just one day to visit Rome.
You will be shown and explained the most renowned attractions of Rome, including the Trevi fountain, the Pantheon, the Spanish Steps, the Colosseum, and Circus Maximus, which was the stadium for chariot races, and St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican.
You will be met at 7.45 am at the cruise ship ramp by one of our drivers who will hold a sign with your name on it, and seated in comfortable Mercedes vehicles. The drive to Rome takes approximately one hour and thirty minutes.
A Guided Tour of the Colosseum, with a licensed tour guide for an extra fee as shown below in the details, can be combined with this tour.
If you have chosen the option of a guided tour of the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel, a licensed local guide will accompany you for 3 hours among the most fascinating and impressive sculptures and works of art of all time (this option has an additional cost, which depends on the number of participants).
By 3.45 pm, you will make your way back to the port, possibly by 5 pm.
We recommend wearing comfortable shoes and suitable clothing for visiting churches and monuments.
