The tour is conducted by an English-speaking driver from our company, Rome-Limousine, who will welcome you at the gangway of your boat-cruise ship, and he holds a sign bearing your or your party’s name.

You will then be driven directly to Castel Gandolfo, a small town renowned for being the Pope’s summer residence. Castel Gandolfo, recently voted as one of the most beautiful towns in Italy, rises at the crest of a volcanic lake, once one of the five mouths of the big Laziale Volcano. 
The medieval town is dominated by the Pope’s summer residence, built by Carlo Maderno for Pope Urban VIII in the 17th century. The loggia of the benediction, the balcony from where the Pope waves and blesses the faithful, overlooks the whole town. Walking down the narrow and fascinating main street, you will have the chance to visit the church built by Gianlorenzo Bernini and dedicated to St. Thomas from Villanova, with its beautiful cupola and the altarpiece by Pietro da Cortona.
Gourmet stores, religious goods, and souvenir shops line up the central corso. Here, there is time for coffee, pictures, and a visit to the church of St. Thomas. Afterward, you will be driven to Frascati, where, in a winery, you will be taught everything regarding wine.

From Castel Gandolfo, it takes 20 minutes to Frascati, through lovely and shady streets dating back to the Renaissance, connecting the rich villas of Roman aristocrats.
